Thermopipe®

Application
A polyester-reinforced polyethylene lining system used for the trenchless rehabilitation of water distribution mains and other pressurized systems up to 12 inches in diameter. Thermopipe has a long-term independent internal pressure rating of up to 230 psi. Can navigate most bends.

Advantages
Thermopipe solves severe internal deterioration problems and improves water quality by providing a continuous, impermeable pressure pipe lining inside the host pipe. It can navigate most bends and allows existing services to be reconnected with new factory-manufactured fittings. Thermopipe minimizes installation time and on-site disruption.

Installation
In the Thermopipe process, a factory folded polyester-reinforced, polyethylene liner is pulled from an access pit through a deteriorated water main using a winch. Once in place, it is inflated and heated with steam, enabling it to achieve a close fit to the host pipe while providing a jointless, leakproof lining system. Insituform® uses this proprietary lining system to rehabilitate distribution mains and other pressurized systems.
